The Cyclo is a dual-head polisher. Both heads move in an orbital motion, but in different directions. One moves clockwise and the other moves counter-clockwise. The idea is to simulate hand polishing but at a much faster rate. With this dual motion, the Cyclo keeps moving so it will not burn the paint. Going over a scratch or swirl with both heads ensures that you are attacking it from all sides, so to speak The Cyclo’s dual heads give you a balanced polish every time. The Cyclo stands on two heads so it is self-balancing. The heads rest flatly on the surface of your vehicle to avoid the danger of nicking the paint with the edge of a backing plate. The Cyclo is an extremely well made machine and is expertly machined, manually polished, and hand-fitted to ensure longevity. Every part of the polisher is serviceable and replaceable. Some fifty-year-old Cyclos are still in use today! (Probably fitter at 50 than I am!!)
The Cyclo has quite a few accessories. Different types of quality pads and bonnets make the Cyclo perfect for compounding, polishing, waxing, and glazing. Pads attach to the heads by way of hook & loop backing plates for quick and easy pad replacement.
The Cyclo is also excellent for cleaning carpets, upholstery, and grout using the available brushes. These brushes attach to the backing plates just like the pads. The dual motion of the heads is great for extracting stains from deep carpet or scrubbing filthy tiles.
