The X Strap is the answer; it is a 6’ (1830mm) long retractable strap. It won’t slip like a luggage strap as it has a locking mechanism, it won't come unthreaded like a ratchet strap as it is fully stitched onto the spool.  Finally it has no risk of getting tangled!
